St Georges CofE Uniform Policy

The governors set a high standard of uniform at St George’s CEP. We believe a uniform provides a sense
of belonging and identity, promotes the ethos of our school and sets the appropriate tone for education
where pupils concentrate on their studies rather than latest fads and fashions.

Expectations for our school uniform:

Clothing:

All pupils should wear school uniform without exception. Uniform should consist of a combination of the
following -
• Trousers (Black or Grey)
• Polo top or Shirt (White)
• Knee-length Skirt (Grey)
• Pinafore Dress (Grey)
• Jumper (Blue)
• Cardigan (Blue)
• Checked Dress (Blue/White) – Summer months
• Shorts (Black/Grey) – Summer months
Jumpers and cardigans should ideally be embroidered with the school logo. These can be obtained from
‘Foresters’ shop in Sheerness High Street, or via Tesco Embroidered Uniform from which 5% of all sales is
donated back to the school.
PE
• Short sleeved T-Shirt (White)
• PE Shorts (Blue/Black)
• Plimsolls (Black) for indoor activities
• Trainers (Black) for outdoor activities
• Tracksuit comprising of jogging bottoms and a zip up top (Blue/Black) for colder months/outside
activities.
• Due to health & safety concerns, hooded tops are NOT permitted.
Footwear
Black school shoes (not boots) should be worn by all.
High or wedge heeled shoes are not permitted – shoes should be flat.
Wellington boots and trainers can be worn on the journey to and from school, and during breaktimes, but
pupils must change into school shoes once in class.
Branded school ‘shoes’ (i.e., Nike, Adidas, Reebok) are not permitted, as footwear of this nature indicates
they are a trainer

Ordering Process

Place Your Order: Once you place your order, we get to work right away.

Order Blank Stock: We start by ordering the blank garments needed for your items.

Custom Embroidery: Next, we embroider the garments specially for you.

Average Turnaround Time: This whole process takes about 10 working days on average. Please note, the timescale may vary during peak times, such as school summer holidays.

Order Completion: When your order is ready, we'll send you an email to let you know. Depending on what you chose at checkout, your order will either be shipped to you or ready for you to pick up.

Returns/Refund Policy

Try Before You Buy:
We strongly encourage parents to visit our store to try on items for the correct size before placing an order, or to check our size guide to ensure a proper fit. This helps ensure that you receive the best fit for your child.

Non-Personalized Garments:
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. You can return any unworn, unwashed, and unaltered garments with original tags attached within 14 days of delivery for a full refund (excluding shipping costs). Please ensure the items are in their original condition.

Personalized Garments:
Please note that any garments personalized with a child’s name, nickname, initials, or any other custom embroidery are non-refundable.

How to Return:
To return an item, please bring it to our store along with your receipt. Alternatively, you can mail the item back to us using a trackable shipping service. Refunds will be processed within 10 working days of receiving the returned items. During peak times, such as the back-to-school season, please allow up to 28 working days.

Damaged or Faulty Items:
If you receive a damaged or faulty item, please contact us within 14 days of delivery. We will arrange for a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.
